At Help A Friend Club we offer a wide variety of groups and activities for our participants. Everyone needs a social network, and that’s what we aim to provide.

These activities promote social interaction, skill development, improved physical and mental health, enhanced self-esteem, a sense of belonging, and exposure to diverse recreational opportunities.

Please note that fees apply to Help A Friend Club Activity groups and waitlists may apply.

CREATIVE COOKING

Our Creative Cooking classes are held at our custom renovated kitchen facilities. Not only do our participants learn to cook, they also look about hygeine and food safety principals. Those who attend our Creative Cooking classes cook for our other particpants who attend the centre, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.

    Our big group, anyone is welcome. This group runs Thursdays at our activity centre where we run a wide range of activities and link in with other organisations like Bunnings to assist with planned activities.

  • DICE WARRIORS

    Our Dice Warriors play a variety of Boardgames and Roleplaying games. They also enjoy workshops together were they work on something to enhance the games like crafting a piece of terrain or designing and painting a mini figure.

    Crafting, sewing, high tea parties, excursions and so much more is on the agenda for this mature ladies group. The ladies plan their own roster with the assistance of our support staff.

    Our Wanderers are always out and about in the Community. The group runs on Mondays and the activities are aimed around teaching skills about what is appropriate conduct in the community. They also always have something fun planned.

    The Craft Masters are all about individuality and specific interests. Our group coordinator arranges activities and crafts to work around the themes that the group members are interested in.
